Stacey Dewitt
Journalist, Attorney & Speaker

Stacey DeWitt is the CEO and President of CWK Network, Connect with Kids.  She and her husband Sam founded CWK over a decade ago inspired by their passion for raising ethical, inspired, self-reliant children who can lead future generations.

CWK Network, Inc. is a multi-media company that produces and distributes Emmy® award winning television programs and research-based educational products. All are focused on raising resilient children in a complex world. The company owns the nation’s largest non-fiction video library on parenting and distributes its programs and products through multiple venues including documentary-style programming broadcast on over 50 national network television affiliates, multi-media curricula recognized by the U. S. Department of Education, and strategic custom initiatives sponsored by corporate foundations and government agencies.

DeWitt holds a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  She brings the culmination of a substantial media and legal career as well as a passion for child advocacy to her role as CEO.

DeWitt began her career as a television anchor, producer, and reporter for ABC, NBC, and CBS affiliates. In her 25 years as a broadcast journalist, she has remained committed to using the power of media as an educational tool. DeWitt has produced over 65 documentaries focused on child health and wellness. More than 25 of those documentaries have received Emmy® awards or nominations, one documentary received a National Daytime Emmy® and five documentaries received Parent’s Choice awards.  She has interviewed hundreds of children, families and experts on the social and emotional issues facing America’s youth.

During her tenure as a practicing attorney, DeWitt served as a commercial litigator, deputy prosecutor, and lobbyist. She was actively involved in judicial review of ethical legal standards and served as a child advocate working to improve the state juvenile code, lobbying for legislative policies that improve the lives of at risk children, and volunteering to represent disadvantaged and abused children. As a law student, DeWitt was named top oralist and winner of the best brief at Georgetown University’s National Moot Court Competition.

DeWitt is a sought-after speaker and author. More than 80 audiences nationwide have heard her speak on the ethical and character issues facing parents struggling to raise resilient children, educators charged with teaching character in the classroom, and employers focused on providing ethical leadership for the young adults in the workforce. As a documentary producer, CEO and child advocate she brings a unique mix of research, real-life stories, passion, and multi-media to her presentations. Most importantly, as a mother of two teens, DeWitt provides a first-hand compassionate and a humorous perspective. She will soon release her first non-fiction book which includes a buck-the-trend, research-based strategy for raising resilient kids in a complex world that was developed during her career as a mother, journalist, attorney, and entrepreneur.
